H. Dudley Moseley Memorial Scholarship Fund

The H. Dudley Moseley Memorial Scholarship Fund was established within the College Heights Foundation in February 2004. Funding is available to make a $500 award for the 20010-11 academic year. Below is a list of the scholarship criteria for applicants:
Recipients can be part-time or full-time students at Western Kentucky University.
Recipients must either be
majoring or minoring in any of the following disciplines: Religious Studies, Education, Social Work, Pre-Med, Sociology, Psychology or
Nursing.
OR
a past or present member of New Friendship Baptist Church or the New Friendship Baptist Church Youth Group.
Nominations will be made to the University Scholarship Committee by the H. Dudley Moseley Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee from New Friendship Baptist Church.
Applicants must complete a scholarship application by April 15.
Applicants must submit an essay to tell how the student’s faith has been instrumental in their life and how the student will incorporate Christianity into their career.
Applicants must include one letter of reference.
Essays and applications will be reviewed and graded by the Scholarship Selection Committee from New Friendship Baptist Church. Eligible Applications will be graded on the basis of financial need, essay, field of study, and church/community/school involvement. A person may receive the award for more than one calendar year but those that have not received the award in the past will be graded higher.
