Barry Raley has a passion for Jesus Christ that comes from being truly born again by Jesus and then believing that Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior, is the hope of the world! "Jesus told us He is the way, the truth, and the life!" Barry's model for preaching God's Holy Word comes from a preacher of years ago who said: "I preach as a dying man to dying men." Every sermon he delivers comes from the deep conviction that the Bible is the living Word of God and has the power to transform people's hearts and life.

Barry surrendered to God's call to be a preacher of the Gospel in 2005 and in 2009 was ordained into the ministry as a pastor. Before becoming a pastor Barry gained valuable experience in church leadership by serving as a Trustee, Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and then more recently as a staff member at Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY where he was the Outreach Coordinator. These responsibilities, coupled with Barry's experience as a police detective over the past 18 years, give him a unique and realistic perspective on leading God's people through the real life issues that all of us face in the 21st century. Barry says "The Bible gives us the answers we need to be salt and light in a dark world and to live the abundant life Christ said He came to give us!"

Barry has a deep conviction that every believer in Christ has the responsibility to learn Christ, live Christ, and then lead others to Christ. "Jesus clearly taught His disciples they were to deny self, take up a cross and follow Him ... if we were to follow Jesus in Bible times we would see Him doing ministry and doing missions all the way to Calvary!" Barry believes that making disciples, doing ministry and going on mission are all done most effectively, and that God gets the most glory, when it takes place in the context of the local church. Barry's life's purpose is for the glory of God and the growth of His kingdom.

Barry and Dawn have been married for 27 years and they have two daughters, Amber and Abigail.
